In The Beginning.....

Let me first begin with my blog being pretty much private. My plans have become pretty much private for that most part, for various reasons. After I'm on a good road of achieve two of my major goals in life, I will decide to open up and tell people.

So let's begin, a little about me, I have just recently graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in Finance. Although I love number crunching (smile) my passion really lies in cooking and writing. I've always wanted to go to culinary school but I thought it would be best for me to put it off for a few years, after I'm settled in a well paying job. Then I thought about it and said to myself "WHAT BETTER TIME THAN THIS?" I'm living in my parents house rent free, I'm not married, nor do I have any kids, so this is an opportune time to live out my passion. I hurriedly sought out several culinary schools in NYC (my home) and was more than pleased to apply to the French Culinary Institute. Wasting no time, I enrolled into the next evening session, which is Sept 2...YES THAT IS ONLY 2 DAYS AWAY AND I AM TRULY EXCITED. In addition to cooking, I've always wanted to publish a book. Starting a little fiction story in highschool, based on some silly crush, I've decided to turn it into something motivational for young women. As a woman of God, it has always been my aim to help uplift others, especially women. Many girls out there lack standards, and I believe my christian fiction novel will be a big inspiration.

Graduation day is June 16 and I plan on having a rough draft manuscript by the end of this year. With two major goals set, I plan to blog about my daily experiences and growth as I build a platform for my aspirations. I hope as you continue to read, you'll give honest thoughts and opinions, and I hope, if nothing else, you see growth!
